THE PAICHE

This work is a tribute to the paiche, one of the largest and most sacred fish of the Amazon, a symbol of abundance, strength, and resilience. Through its central and dominant figure, I seek to represent the imposing presence of life inhabiting the rivers, a life that deserves respect and protection.
The paiche appears surrounded by other fish and aquatic vegetation that fills the space with movement and color. It is not alone: ​​it is part of a living ecosystem where every being plays an important role. This coexistence reflects the natural balance of the river and the ancestral relationship between humankind and water.
The light blue background symbolizes the spiritual world of water, a space of calm, depth, and connection. It is a color that evokes the constant flow of life and the energy that sustains all beings. Against this background, the patterns and textures of the paiche stand out like an ancestral language, reminding us that nature also has memory and wisdom.
