THE HUAYRURO TREE
Technique: Acrylic on Canvas Dimensions: 68 cm x 1.75 m

In this work, I represent the huayruro tree as a sacred and protective being. It rises in the center with a firm and deep trunk, connected to the earth and open to the sky, reminding us of the strength of roots and the continuity of life. For me, this tree is an ancestral guardian, a bridge between the natural and spiritual worlds.

Its branches extend, full of green leaves and huayruro seeds that appear like tiny red heartbeats on the foliage. Each huayruro symbolizes protection, positive energy, and balance. As they fall gently, the seeds carry wishes, memories, and blessings that are scattered across the earth.
Around the tree, other plants and trees coexist, forming a living and harmonious landscape. Nothing is isolated: everything is connected, everything supports one another. The vibrant colors express the vitality of the Amazon and its natural richness, where every leaf, every fruit, and every seed holds meaning.
The violet background envelops the scene like a spiritual space, a suspended time where nature breathes calmly. It is a sacred place that invites contemplation and respect for life.
With this work, I express my connection to nature and to the huayruro seed as an ancestral symbol of protection and abundance. The tree not only bears fruit, but also transmits energy, memory, and hope. It is a reminder that, as long as we care for our roots, life will continue to flourish.
