The Sáino, or wild boar (Tayassu pecari), is larger and more robust than the quitairique, with a strong temperament and an even more pronounced territorial sense. In Asháninka tradition, it is associated with determination, warrior strength, and respect for the forest. When it appears in visions or dreams, it heralds processes of deep energetic cleansing, where the body and earth are stripped of what no longer serves. Its spirit reminds us that true strength comes from connection with the group, the earth, and natural cycles.
