Iguana - Yompari
In the Asháninka worldview, Yompari is a solar and aquatic spirit at the same time, a symbol of adaptability, renewal, and balance between the worlds. It is said that she can move between water, earth, and trees, teaching humans to shed their skin and leave behind the old, as part of the natural cycles of transformation. Her calm gaze and stillness associate her with silent wisdom and the patience of learning, qualities that forest sages recognize as virtues of the spiritual path.

In traditional chants, Yompari's energy is invoked to harmonize the body with the warmth of the sun and the freshness of the river, bringing balance between fire and water, action and calm.
